Welcome to Beijing
I have stayed in Beijing, the capital of China, for one month last year as an exchange student. The Olympic Game was held after I left, so I can enjoy my trip without jamming with the crowd and I really treasure the time there.
I stayed in one of the famous Universities in China which called Tsinghua University. The University is really a nice one to study at, it does not only have very nice study environment, it also look like a small town! No wonder why many chinese celebrities have studies there.
Beijing is quite a hot city, but this is nice for travellers for sure. It snows in winter and is really cold, so i prefer to go there in summer rather than in winter. Whenever I have spare time apart from my study, I have visited many places with my friends. There are many interesting places to go in Beijing.
For history lovers, you must enjoy visitng the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. They are so marvellous and grand! China does not only have interesting history. If you are a shopaholic, shopping malls are everywhere in Beijing, and there are many not costly traditional Chinese souvenirs especially on ‘Wangfujing Street’, you can buy many things with a very low price!
If you like eating delicious food, Beijing can surely fulfill your want! You must eat Beijing roast ducks! They are very delicious. If you want to eat special snacks there, there are many little stalls in ‘Wangfujing’ and you should try all the delicious things there. If you are brave enough, my favorite suggestion is fried scorpion! It is very crispy!
If you like arts, ‘798 Artwork Zone’ is my suggestion for you. There are many great artworks there and two to three days are needed to finish appreciating the works in the zone. And there are bars near that place.
Beijing is just too interesting to be described in an article. So if you plan to travel, why not try Beijing? Beijing will never disappoint you!
