The Importance of Early Childhood Education
48
The countries in Asia are developing rapidly nowadays. Many parents work days and nights. Although they may provide abundant necessities for children, they may not be able to pay close attention to the prosperity of the children’s soul. The responsibility of early childhood education usually falls into teachers’ hands or even domestic helpers.
However, children between the age of two to six years old are in infancy. Their personalities start to develop at this period. During this time, people around them may affect their behaviours as infants model themselves on neighbouring adults. Therefore, parents should grasp the opportunity to build up friendly relationship with the infants.
For infants, happiness and bliss do not come from wealth, but are based on flush life. Parents should not expect infants to meet their high standard of requirements. They should learn how to appreciate the distinctions of infants.
Every child has his uniqueness. If parents acquaint infants with their needs and breed them accordingly, a satisfactory result can be expected.
Parents should spare some time to hold activity with their children in order to clearly discover their talent. Parents devote time as well as effort in the activity. Even though the parents only squeeze little time, they should show passion to the children to gain trust from children.
The activity time does not focus on the length, its emphasis is on quality. Parents should be aware of the techniques used. During the activity time, parents should listen to the children and allow them to express their ideas. Keep patience and be respectful. In the long- term, the children will enjoy sharing their thoughts with their dearest parents.
The parents should notice that, activity time does not plan for children as a learning lesson. It is a period to keep parents’ eyes peeled for the behaviour of children. In this way, parents can discover the talent and characteristics of children. Then they can think of ways to help develop the children’s specialties and modify their weaknesses.
Every child is like a sapling. Once the parents provide children with a suitable environment, together with sufficient love and care, they will grow up happily and healthily.
